The first episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sunday 9pm) starring Jun Matsumoto was broadcast on July 13th. The performance of Riisa Naka, who plays the role of a patient complaining of pain all over her body, became a hot topic.

The drama is based on the manga "The 19th medical record Tokushige's Questioning" by Katsuhito Fujiya, and depicts a general practitioner who lends a helping hand to patients' lifestyles. This is Matsumoto's first time playing a doctor, and the show also stars Fuka Koshiba and Mackenyu. The script is written by Aya Tsubota, who has worked on the "Kounodori" series (same channel).
Momo Kuroiwa (Naka) had severe numbness in her hands and asked her boss for a half-day off. However, her boss didn't understand and said, "Another half-day off? I don't doubt you, but you weren't told you had any kind of illness, were you? I understand how you feel. But let's try a little harder."
Momo decides that the numbness in her hands is just in her mind, takes medicine that doesn't work, and tries to persevere. However, she collapses in the company toilet.
Momo is taken to Uotora General Hospital. When she wakes up, Narumi (Tsuda Kanji), the head of the orthopedic department, tells her, "We know from your last examination that it's not a life-threatening illness, so please don't worry."
Although the cause is unknown, Momo is clearly in pain and it is interfering with her daily life, and she goes into a panic, saying, "Are you relieved? Oh, it hurts so much," as the doctor does not seem to understand.
When Narumi said, "Let's calm down for a bit. The mental stress is causing pain...", Momo raised her voice and said, "Are you saying I'm lying? You're all doctors, right? So why don't you understand?" However, when Momo came to her senses, all she could say was, "I'm sorry. I'm fine now. Please let me go home now."
On social media, comments such as "Riisa Naka's acting is absolutely fantastic, I was impressed, I cried when I saw her in pain", "Riisa Naka's acting is amazing, it's too painful just to watch", "Riisa Naka's episode made me cry. It reminded me of myself when I didn't know what was causing my pain", and "Riisa Naka acting is amazing. She's a great actress" were posted and became a hot topic.
