Actor Sadao Abe appeared at the preview screening and cast event for the drama "Shiawase na Kekkon" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), which starts on the 17th, held at EX THEATER ROPPONGI (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on July 14th, along with co-stars Takako Matsu, Rihito Itagaki, Takashi Okabe and Danda Yasunori. Abe revealed that he was surprised by Danda's real face, with whom he was acting for the first time.
When asked about someone who was different to him before and after working with him, Abe mentioned Danda, saying, "He's the best actor in Japan. But like in his greeting just now (at the beginning of the event), he can suddenly raise his voice or lose his emotions (laughs). On the first day of filming, he suddenly spilled coffee on his costume. I was a bit surprised, I thought he was a stiff person." He said he was surprised by this unexpected side of him, to which Danda himself laughed and said, "That's the kind of person he is."
The drama is an original work by Shizuka Oishi, the screenwriter who also wrote the popular NHK Taiga drama " Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e) " last year. The story is about a bachelor lawyer, Harada Kotaro (Abe), who is attracted to and marries Suzuki Nerla ( Takako Matsu), a mysterious high school art teacher, but Nerla is hiding a huge secret... This is a story that questions the love between a husband and wife.
