The second episode of the drama series " DOPE " (TBS, Friday 10pm), starring Kaito Takahashi of the popular group "King & Prince" and actor Tomoya Nakamura , was broadcast on July 11th. The shocking past of the narcotics control officer Teppei Jinnai, played by Nakamura, was revealed, causing a stir.

The story is based on the same-titled novel (Kadokawa Bunko) by Kizaki Chiaki, who made her debut as a novelist after winning the grand prize at the 20th Dengeki Novel Prize with "Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens." Set in a near-future Japan where a mysterious new drug called "DOPE" is rampant, Saiki Yuto (Takahashi), a rookie narcotics agent of the secret Narcotics Control Department Special Investigation Division (Special Investigation Division), and Jinnai Teppei, the division's trainer, attempt to solve a mysterious case.
"I'm just like you. I have a secret that I can't tell anyone. That's why I want to kill dopers." Jinnai told Saiki about the events that happened seven years ago.
When Jinnai returns home late at night, he finds his pregnant wife, Kaori (Iriyama Noriko), stabbed to death. Near the body is a blood-stained bag of dope.
"What is this? Hey, this can't be true... right, Kaori?" Jinnai called out his wife's name many times and touched her with trembling hands, but Kaori did not respond. Faced with the unbelievable reality, Jinnai's eyes turned red and he could only shed tears.
In front of Saiki, Jinnai says, "I found the culprit right away. He was a homeless man, and his intention was to rob. But he had a beautiful body that had never taken dope. He died soon after being incarcerated. It was suicide. There is another culprit." In order to find the real culprit, Jinnai asks for help from Saiki, who has the supernatural ability to "predict the future."
