The 27th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "I Wish I'd Die Under the Flowers in Spring", aired on July 13th and ended with a shocking scene in which Sano Masanori (Yamoto Yuma) attacks Tanuma Okitomo(Hio Miyazawa) with his sword, causing screams from viewers.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In episode 27, Tsutae (Yokohama) hears from Ooya (Ito Atsushi) that depending on Tanuma's reputation, Ichi's offer to buy Daresode (Haruka Fukuhara) may not be possible.
Meanwhile, Jisei (Ikuta Toma) is asked by Michihiro (Kazuki Enari) to stop the confiscation of Ezo, and learns about the Ezo policy that Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe) was secretly pursuing. At the Tanuma residence, Sano Masayoshi's father, Masatoyo (Yoshimi Kazutoyo), gets angry and demands the return of the family tree, but Masayoshi steps in to stop him...
Since Okitsugu had thrown away the family tree in question, Ieharu (Hidekazu Mashima) invites Masayoshi to a hunting party in an attempt to somehow save Masayoshi, but the "man who was Jouemon (Yano Ken Yasuda)," who was also involved in the death of Gennai (Yasuda Akira), is secretly working on the matter. Later, he tells Masayoshi the lie that Ieharu had hidden the prey that Masayoshi had supposedly caught, and then tells him that Okitsugu had thrown away the family tree, and that the cherry tree that Masayoshi had given him had been donated to a shrine without his knowledge and was loved by the people as "Tanuma's cherry tree."
The Sano family's cherry blossoms did not bloom, and Masayoshi's father Masatoyo unreasonably blamed him for causing them to wither. Eventually, this animosity towards Ichi grew, and he sharpened a rusty sword that Masatoyo had been carrying out a murderous act with it.

In addition, "UNBOUND" will be on hiatus next week due to the broadcast of the "Upper House Election Count Report 2025," and the next episode will air in two weeks.
