Fans delighted with Tori Matsuzaka supportive comments for the Super Sentai

Actor Tori Matsuzaka's "Super Sentai 50th Anniversary Support Comment" was posted on Toei's official YouTube channel "Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Official" on July 8th, and received a huge response from fans.

The video is a project to commemorate the movie "Number One Super Sentai No.1 Sentai Gozyuger: Resurrection of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger " (TV Asahi, Sundays 9:30 a.m.), which is currently being aired to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Super Sentai series, and features supportive comments from cast members of previous Super Sentai series.

Matsuzaka, who played Shinken Red/Shiba Takeru in "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" (2009-2010), expressed his gratitude, saying, "It marked the beginning of my acting career, so I have very strong feelings for Shinkenger. This is a series that accepted me for over a year when I was a rookie and knew absolutely nothing. I learned a lot from it."

He also touched on the shocking development at the time when he was revealed to be a body double, saying with a smile, "I had to pretend I didn't know until the other members received the script (for the episode) that said I was a body double, but that was fun too." He then reminisced, "It was a really clever story that made me wonder if kids could understand!? Now it's a fond memory," and ended by giving his "junior" Gojuger a cheer.

In response to this message, fans responded with a stream of joyful comments, such as, "My Lord, welcome back. We've been waiting for you to come back," "Thank you, My Lord!! All Super Sentai fans will be delighted," "I hope you play Shinken Red again someday, even if it's just for a moment," "Of course I'd be happy if you appeared in Sentai again, but for now I'm truly happy that Tori Matsuzaka made this comment," and "It's nice that people still care about you like this, no matter how famous you become!"

Alongside Matsuzaka's video, supportive comments were also released from Yudai Chiba, who played Gosei Red/Arata in "Tensou Sentai Goseiger" (2010-11), Ryo Ryusei, who played Kyoryu Red/Kiryu Daigo in "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger" (2013-14), and Ryusei Yokohama, who played ToQ4/Hikari in "Ressha Ryusei Yokohama" (2014-15). In addition, a gorgeous five-shot commentary by the cast of the first series, "Himitsu Sentai Goranger" (1975-1977), Naoya Makoto, Hiroshi Miyauchi, Jiro Daruma, Risa Komaki, and Yukio Ito, was also released.
