It has been announced that "BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE R", an experimental video based on the robot anime "Combat Mecha Xabungle" that aired from 1982 to 1983, will be released this fall. This is a follow-up to "BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE L" released in May, and a young creator will be creating a video that "reinterprets Combat Mecha Xabungle from a different perspective." The idol unit "After School Climax Girls" from "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors" has been asked to write a new song specifically for the work.
The video is by the Sunrise Robot Laboratory, which studies and explores the robots and mecha that appear in Sunrise works, and will use current direction and technology to create experimental videos with new interpretations and arrangements. Last year, the experimental video for "Aura Battler Dunbine" was released, which also became a hot topic.
"Combat Mecha Xabungle" is an anime directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, set on the planet Zola, where crimes are time-barred if you can get away with it for three days, and the story follows a young boy named Jiron Amos, whose parents were murdered, who breaks the rules to pursue his parents' murderer.
