Entertainer Chiaki Horan's walking show "Chiaki Horan and Local Experts" (TV Asahi affiliates *excluding some areas) will be broadcast from 4:30 pm to 5:25 pm on June 29th. Horan will go for walks while interacting with "local experts" who know the local area inside and out, and will deliver information about the town that only local experts know. This is a collaboration program between TV Asahi and "TRAIN TV," which is broadcast on monitors on the 10 main lines of JR East in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Yurikamome train.
Horan and guest Daisuke Miyagawa stroll from Nippori Station to Ueno Station. In Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street near Nippori Station, they visit a colorful handmade lamp shop, a shop where you can enjoy freshly pounded mochi, a popular minced meat cutlet shop, and a super cheap manju shop. During their stroll, the two are asked a quiz by a "local expert." It turns out that the Jizo statue painted on the gate of Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street was painted by "a certain unexpected person."
On the way from Yanaka to Nezu to Ueno, we visit a long-established rice cracker shop that is said to be loved by a very famous person. In Ueno, Mie Takahashi, who has 20 years of experience reporting on Ueno, appears. A quiz will be asked, such as "what was the model for Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park?"
Near Ueno Station, they enjoyed a traditional three-tiered soba noodle dish at a 165-year-old soba restaurant beloved by literary figures. When they arrived at Ueno Station, they thought the trip would end there, but Horan decided to stop by one more place to try a dessert that's a hot topic in Ueno.
