Ano-chan, a singer and talent, attended the TikTok First Half Trend Awards 2025 ceremony held in Tokyo on June 24th as a presenter. She revealed the existence of her mentor, who she called her "origin."
When presenting the award for TBS's Sunday Theatre drama "Mikami Sensei," which won the Entertainment Division, MC Marie Ueda asked Ano about a teacher he remembers fondly. Ano revealed, "When I was in elementary school, I had a teacher who wouldn't let me teach. She would bring snacks and dogs and everyone was interested in them. She said she didn't want to teach." Ueda was surprised and asked, "Was that okay!?"
Ano-san said with a smile, "He was a beloved grandfatherly teacher. His freedom may be what is guiding me to who I am today." When Ueda-san said, "It's like the origin," Ano-san nodded and said with a smile, "He taught me freedom."
The "TikTok First Half Trend Awards 2025" is an awards program that announces the content and keywords that were popular on TikTok in the first half of 2025. The grand prize went to the popular anime "The Apothecary Diaries."
