"Seriously?!" voices of surprise at live-action film adaptation; attention focused on popular character Su Fang Junfei

It has been announced that "WIND BREAKER," a popular yankee manga by Nii Satoru that is Satoru Nii being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Magapoke," will be adapted into a live-action movie, and on social media, there have been many surprised comments such as "Seriously?!" and "I'm so surprised." The comic has sold over 8 million copies in total, and is a popular work that has also been adapted into a TV anime. The final episode of the second season of the TV anime was broadcast late at night on June 19th on the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO," and the live-action movie was announced.

"WIND BREAKER" depicts the story of the protagonist, Haruka Sakura, who has lived a lonely life with only fighting as a redeeming quality, enrolling in Fuurin High School, once feared as a den of delinquents, and fighting as a member of the group Bofurin, which protects the town. In 2022, it won the "Recommended Comics 2022 Selected by Booksellers Nationwide". The TV anime, featuring a star-studded cast of voice actors, is also gaining popularity.

Along with the announcement of the live-action film, a first look visual showing the six members of Bofurin and a Teaser trailer showing Haruka Sakura facing off against an enemy were released. The film is directed by Hagiwara Kentaro, known for Blue Period and 30 Minutes to Say Goodbye, and written by Masaike Yosuke, known for Haken Anime!. The film was shot entirely on location in Okinawa between February and April this year, and is scheduled for release in December.
