The manga exhibition "ART OF MANGA" will be held at the de Young Museum in San Francisco from September 27th to January 25th, 2026. This is the first large-scale manga exhibition in North America, showcasing classic manga from the 1970s to the present day along with precious original drawings. Key visuals have been released, featuring Luffy from "One Piece" and Goro Inogashira from "The Kodoku no Gourmet." The visuals bring together popular characters from across publishing companies and production companies.
The exhibition mainly features individual exhibits of eight popular manga artists: Hirohiko Araki, Eiichiro Oda, Gengoroh Rumiko Takahashi, Rumiko Takahashi, Jiro Taniguchi, Kazumi Yamashita, Mari Yamazaki, and Fumi Yoshinaga. The introductory part of the exhibition will introduce the works of Fujio Akatsuka and Tetsuya Chiba. The mascot of the exhibition will be the character that appears in Akatsuka's works such as "Extraterrestrial Ataro".
Tickets will go on sale on July 2nd (local time).
