The drama series " A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You " (Fuji TV, Thursdays 10pm), starring Kyoko Yoshine , attracted attention as the "Fukafumi" pair, with Koseki Yuta playing Fukami Ryunosuke and Yamamoto Maika playing Yoshimori Fumiko wrapping up filming an important scene in which they confirm their feelings for each other.
Koseki said, "It was a really wonderful, friendly atmosphere on set. That feeling was transmitted over the airwaves and to viewers, and I was very happy to be able to work on a project that received such a great response. Thank you!"
Yamamoto began by saying, "Thank you very much. It was really fun! More than anything, it was so much fun working with (Yoshine) Kyoko-chan..." To which Koseki, who was sitting next to him, immediately interjected, pointing at himself, "And what about me?", causing laughter on set.
"I was really happy to be working with Koseki-kun again," she said joyfully, and added, "I'm looking forward to a sequel, and thank you for filming Fumiko so cutely and beautifully, and for the lighting and creation of the film. See you again!!" she said cutely.
Namase Katsuhisa and Wakui Emi have also wrapped up filming. Namase, who played the film's only original character, the silent film narrator, said, "I wrapped up a little early, but I think there's still filming left. Everyone, please take care of yourself and do your best until the end. Let's meet again somewhere! Farewell!!"
Wakui, who played Shibahara Ikuko, commented, "I always filmed on the set, but it was comfortable and I really liked being on the set. Even if I was on the set all the time, my white tabi socks didn't get dirty... I was able to be here while thinking that it was the various considerations of the staff behind the scenes that made this wonderful space possible." She bowed deeply and said, "It was very difficult (to play Ikuko), but it was a lot of fun and a very happy time. Thank you very much!"
The original is a manga of the same name by Nishika Hachi, which is currently being serialized on Kodansha's manga app "Comic DAYS". It depicts the love story that begins in 1936, when Natsumi, who was proposed to and married on "zero days of dating", and Imperial Navy lieutenant Takitaka Ebata begin their married life together. The final episode will air on June 26th.
