Actors Aran Abe Abe and Nichika Akutsu attended the premiere preview of the drama "I'm Now I became the main role of a BL drama" (TELASA), in which they co-starred, held in Tokyo on June 18th. They talked and played mini games in front of the fans, and also talked about "what they like about each other."
Abe replied that what he likes about Akutsu is that "he is considerate and creates a good mood." He said, "When I'm a little tired, he'll mess around with me. When we played table tennis (with the staff), it was amazing. He opened his yukata like a raging horse and played barefoot." Akutsu laughed and said, "He moved so violently that he broke his sandals."
Akutsu said that what she likes about Abe is his "kind smile and great communication skills." "No matter how early in the morning Kenran's smile is soothing and comforting," she said, but Abe was skeptical and said, "Really?" and revealed, "Because he's in a bad mood in the morning (lol)." Akutsu was embarrassed and said, "That's not true (lol)! I'm really weak in the morning..."
The drama is a sequel to the live-action adaptation of Suzurigai's popular BL (Boys Love) manga. It depicts the love story between the number one popular actor Akato Yuichiro (Abe) and Aoyagi Moe (Akutsu), a former popular child actor who has talent but is now a lackluster actor. Director Kumasaka Izuru also attended the premiere screening and praised the pair, saying, "They've clearly improved since the first season."
The series will begin streaming on the video streaming service "TELASA" on the 13th, with new episodes being released every Friday. There are 6 episodes in total.
