A photo of actress Mei Nagano receiving a bouquet of flowers and in tears was released as the filming of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " starring Hiroshi Abe wrapped up. Nagano commented, "I really loved being involved in the production, and I spent every day feeling that. I'm really grateful to everyone. Thank you very much!"
The drama is set in a TV news program and is a social entertainment that pursues the truth buried in the darkness and punishes evil. Abe plays the unconventional and unconventional Caster Soichi Shindo, Hana Sakikubo who struggles despite being pushed around by Shindo, and Michieda Shunsuke of "Naniwa Danshi" plays Shunsuke Michieda Motohashi, a rookie AD aspiring to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
The final episode, airing on June 15th, is... 43 years ago, Shindo's father, Tetsu (Makiya Yamaguchi) and Kunisada (Hideki Takahashi) were covering the crash of a Self-Defense Force transport plane. Shindo questions Kunisada about why Tetsu's article was not published, and heads back to the cave in Ashine Village to find out the truth.
Meanwhile, a weekly magazine reports on a scandal related to "Newsgate." Trust in news programs is shaken. JBN is subjected to fierce criticism... and so the story unfolds.
