Actor Kento Yamazaki appeared at the "Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Event" held in Tokyo on June 12th, organized by Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot. Yamazaki serves as an ambassador for the brand. Actor Yonekura Ryoko, who serves as the muse for the brand's Big Bang, also appeared at the event. They both spoke about the Big Bang (the great explosion that marked the beginning of the universe), which was a turning point for them both.
Yamazaki said, "I was scouted into the entertainment industry through Big Bang," and added, "When I was 18, I co-starred with Yonekura in a drama and attracted a lot of attention from viewers, so that was a turning point for me and I felt like my second Big Bang had come."
Yamazaki co-starred with Yonekura in the drama series "35-year-old High School Student" (NTV), which aired in 2013. Yonekura also commented with deep emotion, "Meeting Kento today was a big bang for me. We worked together as classmates (in the drama). Kento has grown into an adult who seems out of reach since then."
