It has been announced that a project called "Light Novel Anime" will be launched, which will turn new works written by popular authors into short anime. New works written by Natsu Hyuga , known for " The Apothecary Diaries ," Tappei Nagatsuki , known for " Re:Zero (Re:Zero)," Nigoju, known for "The Detective is Already Dead," and Amano Shoko, known for "Welcome to Yoroshiku Fortune Telling Place Onmyouya," will be made into anime. Popular illustrators will be in charge of character design for each anime.
Each episode is about 5 minutes long and will be distributed on BUMP, Tatedora and other short drama platforms. The four works have been re-edited for television and will be broadcast as "Weekly Light Novel Anime" on ABC TV and TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "ANiMAZiNG!!!" from July 12th. "Heartbreak Time Leap" by Futagojuu and "Femme Fatale Raising Plan" by Natsu Hyuga have been released in advance on YouTube.
"Femme Fatale Nurturing Plan" by Natsu Hyuga is a story about a chubby protagonist's struggle to lose weight. The protagonist, a high school boy, decides to say goodbye to his fat body in order to become a femme fatale (a woman with a devilish charm who brings ruin to men) and take revenge on the man who hurt his precious cousin.
Natsu Hyuga said, "A bright, positive, giant with light attributes. How much would that enrich the world? That's why I came up with the story 'Femme Fatale'. I've previously written a story about a perfect boyfriend who is perfect except for his weight, but unfortunately there has been no sequel. I know. People like handsome men and beautiful things. Yes, I like them too. So let's do it. If a giant with light attributes could become beautiful, wouldn't he be perfect? This crazy story is going to be made into a light novel anime. I aimed to tell a laid-back, fun, and positive story. I hope you will enjoy it."
"Jack the Reaper" by Nagatsuki is a new story set in modern Japan, themed around a "death loop." It depicts the various battles between a detective who has lost his memory and a murderer, with plenty of tension.
Nagatsuki commented, "'Nagatsuki-san, would you be interested in making a 5-minute anime with a story?' 'What is that? Sounds interesting!' This was the kind of opening that led to a fast-paced anime project! The story was created with the concept of '5-minute length x Nagatsuki's special skill x making the main character suffer!' Everything is a new attempt, and the emotions are fresh for both the creators and the viewers. So, let's take 5 minutes of your time to see what we've created!"
"Heartbroken Time Leap" by Futagojuu is a bittersweet "love mystery" in which a high school student changes the future by repeatedly time leaping in order to become in love with someone who once rejected him.
Futagojuu says, "As the title 'Heartbroken Time Leap' suggests, this work is about a girl who is rejected in love and, through some unexpected circumstances, goes back in time to confess her feelings again. She thought she had a sure win (?), so why was she rejected? And will her love be fulfilled at the end of the time leap? I hope viewers will pay attention to these points. ...While this is my outward comment, I also hope that those who have a special fetish for girls who get rejected are the ones who are pitiful and cute will enjoy the work."
Amano's "I've been reincarnated as Marie Antoinette, so I'll do everything in my power to avoid the guillotine" tells the story of a modern-day high school girl who is reincarnated as Marie Antoinette and, in order to avoid a future in which she will be executed, uses her otaku knowledge and passion to start the royal palace's first idol group development project.
Amano commented, "I'm sure I'm not the only one who read The Rose of Versailles as a child and wondered, 'How could Antoinette have avoided being executed?' As an adult, I once again took on the challenge of asking, 'What if a geeky girl who doesn't understand politics or economics, but does know that the French Revolution occurred, was reincarnated as Antoinette?' The beautiful character designs by Fujima Takuya, the fantastic voice actors, and the gorgeous music breathe life into the incredible solution that is unique to anime.
