Shindo (Abe) asks to see the cargo of the transport vehicle that Egami (Inoue Hajime), the director of the Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing Center, was riding in. The cargo was rare earths.
Shindo then requests to see the cargo of "one more truck." The other transport truck was being followed in a car by Minami (Kaji Masaki), a reporter for a weekly magazine who was Shindo's accomplice.
Shindo, who was connected to Minami by video call, requested Kageyama (Ishibashi Renji), the president of Kageyama Heavy Industries, to "order the door of the transport vehicle over there to be opened." Kageyama tried to refuse, saying, "I can't follow what you're saying."
Furthermore, Kageyama's son-in-law, Ikeuchi (played by Matsuo Satoru), put pressure on Takimoto, asking, "Is it okay for Kageyama Heavy Industries to stop sponsoring JBN's programs?"
"That would be very troubling. It would be a huge blow to JBN," responded Takimoto, but then told Kageyama, "If he (Shindo), who has solid investigative skills, has suspicions about the transport vehicle, he should reveal them here," and had him open the door of the transport vehicle.
Radioactive material was found in the car. Takimoto explained, "Chairman Kageyama, Mr. Ikeuchi is selling radioactive rare earths recovered from the reprocessing center to third countries, on the pretense that he did it on your orders."
Having known Ikenuchi for many years, Takimoto had noticed his suspicious behavior and continued to investigate.
When Kageyama said, "Once this is broadcast, I will withdraw my sponsorship," Takimoto replied with a purse, "We TV stations can't operate without sponsors. But I don't want dirty money!"
On social media, people were paying attention to his words, saying things like, "We don't need dirty money! What a great quote!", "We don't need dirty money, huh? He's from a major sponsor, but Takimoto said it well", and "We don't need dirty money. How many people can say that? Takimoto is so cool!"
