The 53rd episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada, was broadcast on June 11th. In this episode, viewers were drawn to the behavior of veteran soldiers Baba ( Takumi Kitamura) and Koda (Hagiwara Ryosuke) towards Takashi (Kitamura Takumi), who passed the Class B officer candidate exam.
In the 53rd episode, Takashi fell asleep in the stables, but thanks to the help of Shima (Eiji Yokota) who was asked by Kamino (Eita Okuno), he was able to take the exam and pass the exam to become a Class B executive candidate. When Takashi thanks Kamino, Kamino says that he was also asked by an oddball.
Takashi goes to Yagi (Satoshi Tsumabuki), who is reading a book on his bed, and expresses his gratitude. Yagi evades the question by saying, "I don't know," and when Takashi asks why he isn't taking the officer candidate exam, he answers, "Rather than becoming important in a place like this, I want to get back to work as soon as possible. That's why I'm putting up a little resistance. That's all."
That night, while Taka was on vigil at the stables, Baba and Koda, who had been strict with Taka, came in with some drinks. Koda smiled and said, "Congratulations on passing the B-kan exam," and Baba congratulated him, saying, "We're proud of you. Congratulations." They also called Meguro (Hidaka Yukito), who had taken the exam with Taka and passed, and the four of them drank together.
Baba apologized for his previous "Tekken punishment," saying, "I'm sorry for hitting you both so much." He then said, "I'm going to stop hitting people to vent my frustrations," and "Our group needs to get together!", and instructed Taka to sing something. Taka sang the "Design Department Song" from his alma mater, Tokyo Higher Technical School, and got excited with Meguro, arm around his shoulder.
Various reactions were posted on social media, such as "Oh... all the veteran soldiers were tsundere...lol", "They're actually kind people", "I'm relieved that Taka was promoted safely and the hellish storm of slaps is over", and "I'm amazed at how they've changed."
