It has been announced that the first part of the movie version of " Sound! Euphonium! Sound! Euphonium! Euphonium" based on the novel by Ayano Takeda , "Final Movement Sound! Euphonium", will be screened in spring 2026. The ending theme of the third season of the TV anime, "Beyond the Sound of Nekoiro", is played, and a special trailer depicting the drama with smiles and tears, and powerful performance scenes was also released on YouTube.
"Sound! Euphonium" is set in the Kitauji High School brass band and depicts the growth of the band members, including euphonium player Kumiko Oumae. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2015, and the second season from October to December 2016.
The third and final season, "Sound! Euphonium 3," was broadcast on NHK Educational TV from April to July 2024. It depicts the passionate youth of Kumiko, who is now in her third year of high school and has been appointed as the captain of the Kitauji High School brass band, during the last days of her high school life. Following on from the previous series, it was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and produced by Kyoto Animation.
