Aina Aiba makes one-night return to professional wrestling

Voice actress Aiba Aina, known for her role as Minato Yukina in "BanG Dream!", will make her one-night comeback as a professional wrestler at the Stardom women's professional wrestling tournament to be held at the Ota Ward General Gymnasium in Tokyo on May 31. Aiba spoke of her current thoughts just a few days before the match, saying, "I am training hard, feeling once again how amazing it is to be a professional wrestler. I don't know what I can do now, but even though I've had a break, my love for professional wrestling hasn't given way, and I'm doing my best with the desire to win at all costs!"

Aiba debuted as a professional wrestler in 2015 with "Actwres Girls". After retiring from professional wrestling, she has been active as a voice actress, as well as performing in the girl band "Roselia", which includes Yukina Minato, and as a solo artist, performing the image song for Stardom (2020). She is also in charge of the ending theme "My Own Horizon" for the second season of the TV anime "I Was Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon", which will begin airing in July.

The event on May 31st is the 10th anniversary event for Natsupoi and Anou Saori, who debuted as pro wrestlers at the same time as Aiba, entitled "Natsu & Saori, Here We Come. 10th Anniversary. ~Our Footprints~". The match will be titled "Beginning Tag Match ~We are the original members~" and will see Aiba team up with Ozaki Meika to face off against Honma Tae and Manase Yuna. Tsunoda Naho will act as the special referee.

I've always done muscle training to avoid gaining weight, but now I'm going to personal training to build muscle to protect my body, rather than to get slim. I think it's muscle and fat that protect my body, so I value that.

In ring practice, I just worked on the basics and how to defuse. My tag partner, Imouka, who is also my classmate, and the referee Nao-chan accompanied me and gave me guidance! When Saori and Natsupoi came, they also gave me advice!

I am training hard, feeling the greatness of professional wrestlers once again. I don't know what I can do now, but even though I've had a break, my love for professional wrestling hasn't faded, and I'm doing my best with the desire to win at all costs!
