The eighth episode of "The Battle of Ganryu Island," a new TV anime adaptation of the manga "YAIBA" by Gosho Aoyama , who is known for " Detective Conan " and other works, will be broadcast on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network at 5:30 pm on May 24th.
Yaiba was on the verge of being killed by Kojiro Sasaki's deadly sword, Tsubame Gaeshi, but he was sucked into a hole in space-time created by the Spider Man, and when he came to, he was in a world 400 years ago. In order to return to his original world, Musashi needed to defeat Kojiro in the battle of Ganryu Island, just as in history. However, Yaiba's unnecessary words caused Musashi's strategy to fall apart, and history was about to change.
"YAIBA" is a swordplay action manga that Aoyama serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, before " Detective Conan" began serialization. It depicts the exploits of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trains in the jungle with his father. The story follows Yaiba, who returns to Japan by chance and strives to become even stronger in his new training ground. The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Aoyama. It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, known for "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY".
