In the fifth episode, Hiromi , who has been employed at Switchback in order to find out what Asahi ( Nao Omori ) has concealed, is assigned to Asahi's customer service center, which is his favorite department. Hiromi is tasked with sorting through the customer feedback he receives, and is surprised by Asahi's sincere work, which is different from the image he had of him. Meanwhile, Hiromi learns that a slanderous letter against Asahi is being mailed to one of his stores several times a month, and is concerned by the sentence "Yuki Asahi, child murderer" written on it.
Meanwhile, Yukiko (Hideko Hara), who visited Hiromi's house, couldn't stop thinking about Miumi, who said she was Hiromi's daughter. Hiromi wasn't pregnant 13 years ago when Miumi was born. So who was that child?... As she was thinking about this, Miumi suddenly came to the nursery school. Miumi tells the bewildered Yukiko, "There's something I want to ask you." It's something she can't ask Hiromi... and so the story unfolds.
Later, while Hiromi is at work, he gets a call from Yukiko. When Hiromi meets Yukiko at the nursery school, he learns from Yukiko that Miumi wanted to know about her father. Miumi had noticed that Hiromi would look troubled whenever she tried to talk about her father, so she had actually been pretending to have no interest in Hiromi. After hearing this from Yukiko, Hiromi goes home and hugs Miumi from behind as she is reading a book. Ignoring Miumi's embarrassment, Hiromi continues to hug her with a smile.
On social media, many people were touched by the mother-daughter scene of Hiromi and Miumi. Comments included, "I almost cried," "The mother-daughter story was so touching I was in tears," "Miumi was such a sweet girl who cares about her mother that I cried," and "When I hugged her I almost cried."
