The latest installment of Hirohiko Araki's popular manga series "JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Adventure," Part 9, "The JOJOLands," appeared on the cover of the June issue of the serial magazine "Ultra Jump" (Shueisha), which went on sale on May 19. In the same issue, to commemorate the release of the latest volume 3 of the "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" manga and the release of the live-action movie "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe At a Confessional: Confessional," a special figure of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Kishibe Rohan MASTERLISE -OUTSIDE- ~Poolside Edition~" (Bandai Spirits) will be given away to all applicants.
The figure is a three-dimensional figure of Rohan Kishibe in swim trunks by the pool, about 25 cm tall. The applicant fee is 8,500 yen. The application period is from noon on May 19th to 4:59 pm on June 18th.
The issue also featured the second part of "DUCKWEED," the latest one-shot series for the game "Jack Jeanne," whose Tokyo Ghoul setting, character design, illustrations, and scenario were handled by Sui Ishida, who is known for the popular manga series "Tokyo Ghoul."
"The JOJOLands" has been serialized in "Ultra Jump" since February 2023. The story is about a boy named Jodio Joestar who lives on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and has the ambition to become a billionaire, aiming to reach the top of the world's mechanisms.
"Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" is a strange collection of stories written by manga artist Kishibe Rohan, who has the ability to turn people into books and "read" their memories and personalities, about the stories he has seen and heard at various places he visited. The live-action drama and film starring actor Issei Takahashi are also popular, and the latest film, "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe: At a Confessional," will be released on May 23rd.
"JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Adventure" is a popular manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1986. It has gained popularity for its epic story depicting the blood ties and fate of the Joestar family, which begins with the meeting of two boys, Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, as well as its unique onomatopoeic expressions and impressive standing poses. The announcement that the seventh part, "Steel Ball Run", will be made into an anime has also been a hot topic.
