It has been announced that the TV anime "Silent Witch: The Secret of the Silent Witch," based on the light novel by Iku Matsuri, who is popular on the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 4th. It was also announced that the band "Hitsujibungaku" will be in charge of the opening theme (OP) and ending theme (ED), and that Hina Suguta will be playing Casey Grove and Shunichi Toki will be playing the role of the mysterious man.
A key visual featuring the main character Monica standing anxiously in front of characters such as Felix and Isabelle with the backdrop of Serendia Academy, as well as the silhouettes of the Seven Sages, the Silent Witches, and other key visuals featuring Monica and the others, have also been released.
The work is a light novel written by Matsuri Iku and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. Set in a world where humanity has lost the ability to use magic due to the chanting of incantations, it depicts the exploits of Monica Everett, the "Silent Witch," a young genius magician who created the first chantless magic in history. Although Monica is one of the Seven Sages, the pinnacle of magicians in the Kingdom of Ridil, she is extremely shy and nervous around people, and retreats to the mountains to quietly study magic, but is ordered to infiltrate a prestigious school where aristocrats gather and take on a top-secret mission to protect the second prince.
The light novel is published by Kadokawa Books (KADOKAWA), and the comic adaptation is also gaining popularity. The total number of copies of the series has exceeded 750,000. Monica is played by Saya Aizawa in the anime.
