In the previous episode, episode 22, encouraged by Hiroshi ( Yutaka Takenouchi), Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) decides to take the entrance exam for art school.
However, he is troubled when he finds out that he has a math exam coming up, which he is not good at. At the same time, Nobu (Imada) is busy washing his senior's laundry while encouraging Usako (Sara Shida), who is crying and whining. Then, his homeroom teacher Kuroi (Kumi Takiuchi) appears and tells him, "Be strong for the sake of your country." Meanwhile, when Nobu returns to the Asada family for the first time in a month, Taka tells her that he will make a living by painting... and so the story unfolds.
In episode 23, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai Yumi) receives a marriage proposal from a man.
Ranko asks Gou (Kanata Hosoda), who is working alone, what he thinks about the marriage proposal. Ranko is moved by Gou's response... At the Women's Normal School, Nobu helps Usako during a naginata lesson and confronts Kuroi. Overwhelmed by Kuroi, Nobu and Usako promise to get stronger together. Meanwhile, Taku is struggling with a math problem and Hiroshi gives him tips on how to solve it.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
