It has been revealed that a project will be launched to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the popular "GARO" series, which is a special effects drama and anime series, in October. As part of the 20th anniversary project, it was also announced that a completely new movie will be released in the fall of 2025. Details of the movie will be announced in the future.

As part of the 20th anniversary project, a special program called "Garo: The Storyteller" (20 episodes in total), featuring past cast and staff members will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel from early summer, and the series will be broadcast on CS Family Theater from June Getsuku from Monday to Thursday. An exhibition event called "Garo 20th Anniversary Exhibition" will also be held.
The "GARO" series depicts the exploits of the Makai Knights, whose destiny is to hunt the "Horrors" that lurk in the darkness of this world. The first special effects drama was broadcast in 2005, and it gained attention for its dark and fantastical worldview, stylish visual beauty that makes full use of CG and VFX technology, and dynamic action scenes. It has been expanded into a media mix, including a movie version, spin-off works, anime, stage plays, and games.
