Scenes from the film "National Treasure" (directed by Lee Sang-il, opening June 6th), starring Ryo Yoshizawa and co-starring Ryusei Yokohama, have been released.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Shuichi Yoshida, known for works such as "Parade" and "Park Life." It was serialized in the Asahi Shimbun newspaper from 2017 and published in book form in 2018. The epic 800-page work is set in post-war Japan during the period of rapid economic growth. It tells the epic story of a young man born into a family of yakuza gangsters, but adopted by the family of kabuki actor Hanjiro Hanai (Ken Watanabe), who meets Hanjiro's heir, Shunsuke (Ryusei Yokohama). The two men, with completely different bloodlines, risk their lives to dedicate their lives to the art.
The released scene cuts show Kikuo and Shunsuke, who are pursuing the goal of becoming real actors, exchanging passionate thoughts and glaring at each other, Kikuo throwing his whole body into the art under Hanjiro's guidance, and Shunsuke practicing with a serious look on his face, trying to master every move of Living National Treasure Onogawa Mankiku (Tanaka Min). In addition, the video shows the lovely performance of "Futari Fujimusume" performed by Kikuo and Shunsuke.
