It has been revealed that the TV anime "Dekin no Mogura Ayumu Murase" that was also made into a TV anime, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 7th. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Ayumu Murase as Kyoshiro Nekozuku, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Toshiro Nekozuku, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Kyouko Nekozuku.
The Nekotsuki family is a family that runs an exorcism service using a monster cat, and Murase, who plays Kyoshiro, a third-year student at Yatsume High School, commented, "Kyoshiro is a very nervous and serious person, but I get the feeling that he doesn't actually dislike interacting with people, and I'm acting with that in mind. I hope that his tsukkomi and sense of resignation will reveal the humanity that he can't help but hide (laughs)."
Takeuchi, who plays Fujishiro, Kyoshiro's father and a university professor at Hachime University, said, "In playing the complex character of Nekotsuki Fujishiro, I want to carefully express the conflict and passion that lurks within him. While respecting the nuances of the original work, I will aim to add my own interpretation and deliver a performance with depth. I will immerse myself in the role with all my heart, paying close attention to every detail so that viewers can feel his charm and growth. I hope you will look forward to it."
Tanezaki, who plays Kyoko, Kyoshiro's mother and Fujishiro's wife, said, "Anzu...I thought she was such a lovely person - her appearance, her behavior, and the way she loves Fujishiro so much. I will do my best to properly convey Kyoko's charm. Let's start with her voice (swoosh...) Fujishiro is! The best in the world! He's the coolest!!!"
The key visual, which depicts the main characters and the eerie-looking Mole, Momoyumi, has been released. The first promotional video, which expresses the mysterious worldview of this work, has also been released on YouTube.
"Dekin no Mogura" has been serialized in "Morning" (Kodansha) since April 2021. It is a bizarre comedy about the mysterious self-proclaimed sage Mole, also known as Hyakuan Momoyumi, who says he can't die because he's "banned" from the afterlife, and the people he meets. The anime is directed by Hiroshi Ishiodori and produced by Brain's Base.
