Singer Kaori Kishitani will appear on the NHK music program "SONGS" (General TV, 10:00 pm) on April 17th. It will be her first appearance on the program in 13 years. She will talk about her memories of the origin of her musical career at her elementary school, which she visited for the first time in 46 years. A valuable record of Kishitani's piano performance from that time will also be discovered.
It has been 41 years since Kishitani made his debut as a member of the band Akasaka Komachi. During his time with Princess Princess, he composed many hit songs such as "Diamonds," "The Hottest Summer in the World," and "M," and continues to work as a solo artist.
The program will explore the appeal of Kishitani's music through rare footage from the "PuriPuri" era, interviews with his close friend Chisato Moritaka, who performed with him in his latest live show, and Maki Watase of "LINDBERG". Kishitani will also perform special versions of "Diamonds" and "M" in a studio performance.
