Actor Wakana Matsumoto will be making her first appearance on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on April 8th at 1pm.
Born in Tottori Prefecture, she was scouted by actress Etsuko Nami at a shopping mall in her hometown of Yonago City at the age of 15. She moved to Tokyo seven years later and passed her first audition. In 2007, she made her debut in "Kamen Rider Den-O" as the older sister of lead actor Takeru Satoh.
After that, he entered what he calls his "dark period." He continued his acting career for over 15 years while earning a living through part-time work, and even lived in a room that leaked. After a long period of hard work, he made his breakthrough, but he says, "It still doesn't feel real." Together with Kuroyanagi, he will recreate the "funny faces" from the comical roles that sparked his popularity.
