A malnourished girl named Tahara Uta is admitted to the hospital where Yui (Hashimoto) works, but she refuses to eat anything, causing a problem for Yui and her team.
Apparently, Uta lost her parents in an accident when she was young and grew up in an orphanage, and she looked somewhat like Ayumu's (Riisa Naka) deceased best friend, Maki. At that time, Aiko (Kumiko Aso) told Yui and Ayumu that she had something to discuss with them, and when the three of them met, Aiko said that she wanted to move to Itoshima and that it was difficult for her to tell Masato (Yukiya Kitamura).
Yui and the others advise Aiko to tell Masato when he is in a good mood, but he doesn't listen, and Aiko ends up starting the trial move without permission.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" in which the heroine, born in 1989, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist, with the "gal spirit" of valuing one's individuality at all times.
