It has been announced that Kuzu Nanao's light novel "Mushoku no Eiyuu ~Betsu ni Skill Nanka Ni Wa Datta Nanda~" (Earth Star Entertainment) will be adapted into a TV anime and broadcast in 2025. It was also announced that voice actor Kensho Ono will play the main character, Aller. A teaser visual of Aller holding a sword was also released, with the tagline "Don't be pessimistic, move forward."
The story is set in a world where the profession and skills bestowed by the goddess greatly affect one's life, and follows the story of the protagonist, Aller, who has been branded as "unemployed" and is looked upon with disappointment and pity by those around him, but who continues to work hard and becomes known as a "hero"... It has also been made into a comic book.
Ono, who plays Aller, commented, "In a world where you are given an occupation and whether or not you have skills when you turn 10, Aller is unemployed! It would not be surprising if he were in despair, but he works hard to overcome this situation, and I found him so charming that I ended up reading the original work in one go. I will do my best to express his charm in the anime! Please look forward to the broadcast."
