It has been revealed that the final season of the popular detective drama series "Tokuso9" starring Yoshihiko Inohara will be broadcast every Wednesday at 9 pm starting from April 9th. Counting from "Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Investigative Division 9 Unit" (2006-2017), this is the 20th and final series, and Inohara commented, "I feel like I've done everything I can."
The late Tsunehiko Watase starred in "Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Investigative Division 9 Unit," which aired from 2006 to 2017, and "Tokusou 9" starring Inohara began airing in April 2018. The "final season," which marks the culmination of the series, follows Naoki Asawa (played by Inohara), the team leader of the Special Investigation Team of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Investigative Division 1, as he tackles cases that arise in each episode, depicting the emotional connections he makes with the characters and the human drama.
It has been decided that the special investigation team members with strong personalities, such as Komiyama Shiho (Haneda Michiko), Aoyagi Yasushi (Fukikoshi Mitsuru), Yazawa Hideaki (Taguchi Hiromasa), and Takao Yuma (Fukagawa Mai) and Mitsuya Shohei (Koji Mukai), who appeared in "season 5", will continue to appear, as well as Naoki's wife Michiko (Noriko Nakagoshi) and medical examiner Hayasegawa Masumi (Hara Sachie).

We started filming without any problems, but I've been with the "Tokuso9" members for a long time, and we meet regularly, so I feel like we've been connected for a long time. Once again, I was able to easily enter the world of "Tokusou 9".
I'm deeply moved by the fact that this is the "final season." It's been 19 years since "Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Investigation Division 9"... I feel like I've done everything I can. Rather than saying "There's more to come!" or "There's more to come!", I feel a strong desire to bring it to a proper conclusion and bring it to a proper conclusion. I'm really happy to have come across such a work.
When I think about it, Naoki Asawa, the character I play, has also gone through his rookie days and has now finally become a squad leader. It's hard to sum it up in one word, but I feel like I've been nurtured along with the character.
This work also carefully depicts the background of each character, and rather than just investigating, it delves deeper into the human image of each character living with various things in their lives. I myself would like to return to my roots and play Naoki to the fullest.
Some of the members have been with us for just under 20 years, while others joined midway through. Some of them live in the work. I would like to say "Thank you for meeting me." Also, this is not the end, so I hope we can do something new together on another occasion.
