It has been revealed that the third installment of TV Tokyo's "All Husbands Tremble" series, "Husband, Please Die" (Mondays 11:06pm), following the popular "Five Ways to Socially Erase Your Husband" and "Until I Destroy My Husband's Family", will begin airing on April 7th. Starring Yumi Adachi, Saki Aibu and Sayaka Isoyama, the drama is a marriage suspense drama about three best friends who share the common obstacle of finding happiness in the presence of their eccentric "husbands", and who will stop at nothing to find "happiness".
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Masaki Maruyama, known for works such as "Deaf Voice," which was also made into a TV drama (Futabasha). The marriage that was supposed to be for happiness has only brought regret, and the limits of their careers are beginning to become apparent... Maya Komoto (Adachi), Riko Kagami (Aibu), and Yurika Sakaki (Isoyama), who were classmates in college and shared such feelings, often went out drinking together, complaining about their husbands and venting their frustrations. However, one day, Yurika told Maya and Riko that she had "killed her husband," and Maya's husband also disappeared, and the gears of the three people's destinies began to turn...
Maya, played by Adachi, is an employee of a major developer who feels that her marriage is an obstacle to her career advancement due to her dedication to her work. One day, her husband suddenly disappears, and the gears of fate begin to turn, leaving Maya at his mercy.
Aibu plays Riko, a character who is troubled by her husband's excessive obsession with her husband, but is unable to talk to anyone about it because her pride gets in the way as they quickly got married after a passionate love affair. As Riko struggles with her husband's refusal to divorce, something strange happens to her body, forcing her to make the biggest decision of her life.
Yurika, played by Isoyama, is a woman who clings to an "ideal family" and endures her husband's daily emotional abuse. After a certain incident, she attempts to kill her husband, and then goes on a rampage, trying to justify her actions.
The "scumbag husbands" who are tormenting the three have only been revealed as cheating husbands, abusive husbands and controlling husbands, and the cast will be announced next week.

First of all, the shocking title piqued my interest. When I read the script, I got excited again, thinking that it could be an interesting drama.

I think that out of all the characters, he's actually the most normal person. There are a lot of crazy characters, but I hope to be able to play a realistic role.

I was intimidated by the impact of the title and worried about what kind of work it would be, but the original novel was very interesting, and the script made each character even more distinctive and fascinating.

The character I play, Riko, appears to be a bright, strong-willed, independent woman at first glance, but I think that in reality she is the one out of the three who has the most weaknesses and the greatest desire to rely on someone.

Both of them are calm, gentle and kind, so I feel at ease on set. It is thanks to their tolerance that I can be there without forcing myself.

I was very surprised and grateful. I think my manager had told me, but I must have missed it, because now I'm even more surprised to find out that I'll be starring in three roles. I thought it was an interesting role. I think the gap will be the key, so I'll have fun and do my best to act it out.

I am very happy that "Otto yo, Die kurenai" (Futabasha) has been adapted into a TV series. Perhaps because the original title is so catchy, readers (especially married women) have said that it takes courage to buy it at the bookstore and that they can't read it at home without the cover (lol), but the drama seems to have even more stimulating content. I, too, am looking forward to seeing what the "trio" of lead actress Adachi Yumi, Aibu Saki, and Isoyama Sayaka will do in the series.
