It has been announced that "End of the World Touring", a unique touring manga by Saito Sakae currently being serialized in "Dengeki Maoh" (KADOKAWA), will be made into a TV anime and will be broadcast in 2025. It was also announced that Konomi Inagaki, who will play Yoko, and Tomita Miyu, who will play Airi, two traveling girls, will appear in the series. Nexus will produce the anime. Aniplex made headlines when it announced that it would be releasing information about a "mysterious" new anime at 6pm on February 24th, and it has now been revealed that "End of the World Touring" will be made into a TV anime.
"End Touring" depicts Yoko and Airi riding a tandem off-road bike, the Serow, on a journey through a deserted post-apocalyptic world. With no traffic jams and no traffic lights to stop them, they take photos of famous landscapes, camp in the middle of a city full of nature, and run around a ruined Japan.
Original author Saito Sakae commented, "World's End Touring is being made into an anime! I am very honored. It's all thanks to everyone who always supports me, so thank you so much. I'm involved in supervising the production, excited to see how this manga, which I drew freely without even thinking about it becoming an anime, will be visualized, but I am always amazed by the professional work of the director and the production staff. Although I am the original author, I am also a fan of anime, motorcycles, and post-apocalypse, so I am really looking forward to the anime World's End Touring!"
To commemorate the TV anime adaptation, Yoko and Airi will be on the cover of the April issue of Dengeki Maoh, which will go on sale on February 27th. The issue will come with a special sticker with a newly drawn illustration. The latest 7th volume of the comic will be released on March 27th.
