It has been announced that Mirine Masuda will join the idol group Nogizaka46 as a new member, having passed the 6th generation audition.
The 15-year-old is from Osaka Prefecture. The group's official YouTube channel has released an introductory video of Masuda, which was filmed in the riverbed overlooking Osaka city and in Dotonbori.
Auditions for the 6th generation of Nogizaka46 were held twice last year, in spring and summer, with a total of 11 members passing. The results were announced one by one from February 6th, and Masuda's announcement revealed all five members of the Spring group and six members of the Summer group.
