The main visual for the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ," starring actress Mio Imada and set to air in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year on March 31, was released on February 19. The image shows Imada's heroine Asada Nobu and her husband Takashi Yanai(Takumi Kitamura) with charming expressions as they hold an Anpan in their hands.
The photography was done by photographer Takuma Suda, and the design was done by Mikiko Date, who belongs to the video design department of the station's design center.
Suda commented, "On the day of the shoot, I was so excited to see Nobu and Takashi appear from the script that I pressed the shutter. I hope that this excitement can be conveyed to everyone, and that it can help make mornings in Japan a little brighter and more enjoyable. I am honoured to have been involved in this production as a photographer."
Date explained, "As an art designer, I was involved in the production of the main program, and together with the program staff, I considered how to express the world in which Nobu and Taku live. In the process of considering the design of the key visuals this time, I came up with the idea that Taku's life is one in which he is drawn to Nobu, who is cheerful and pushes ahead as she pleases! Because you are there, I can do my best, too!" and visualized the two of them wrapped up in a fairy tale-like world."
"I hope that this key visual, which we created together with the program staff, will bring a sense of bright hope to viewers. Also, if you watch the actual program, you will come across a scene that is connected to this visual, so please look forward to it!"
"Anpan" is written by Miho Nakazono, who is known for the "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (TV Asahi) series, and tells the story of Takashi Yanase Takashi, who was still a nobody at the time, and his wife Nobu Komatsu overcome all sorts of rough seas to reach Anpanman. Imada will play Asada Nobu, who is based on Nobu, and Kitamura will play Takashi Yanai, who is based on Yanase.
