The preview for the next week's episode, "What is life?", aired after the main story ended. It showed Masato confessing to "Nabebe" Takao (Naoto Ogata) that "I might have cancer," and being hospitalized at Osaka Shin-Yodogawa Memorial Hospital where Yui (Hashimoto) works. In addition, the preview also showed Masato lying in bed in a hospital room expressing his gratitude in a weak voice, saying "Thank you so much for everything," and Aiko shedding tears.
