It has been announced that Iori Saeki will be appearing as a voice actor in the second season of the TV anime "Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2," based on the romantic comedy manga by Asato Mizu, which was serialized in Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump + (Plus)." Saeki will play Heianyama-sensei, a novice teacher who dreams of becoming a passionate teacher, influenced by a drama she watched as a child.
Saeki commented on the work, "The pair of Aharen-san and Raidou-kun is so cute and soothing, but the gags are also funny and I thought it was a really colorful manga. The Aharen-san and the others are cute, but each character, such as Oshiro-san and Momohara-sensei, had such an impact that I was laughing all the time." She continued, "I'm really honored to have been able to join Aharen-san's wonderful world. I really love Heianyama-sensei, who is so single-minded and straight-forward. I'd be very happy if you could see him struggling with 'pathy' as a teacher."
It was also announced that the band project "shallm" will be in charge of the ending theme "Twilight." Vocalist Lia commented, "I wanted to create a song that would capture Aharen-san's delicate and warm worldview and resonate with the hearts of the viewers. I hope that this song will make viewers feel even more of the lingering emotion and fondness they feel after seeing the story through to the end. I hope you enjoy the ending theme along with the work."
"Aharen-san wa Hakarenai" is a youth romantic comedy that depicts the "unpredictable" daily life of the small and quiet Aharen Reina and her seat-mate Raidou. It was serialized in "Shonen Jump +" from January 2017 to April 2023.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022. Following on from the first season, the second season will be produced by FelixFilm, with Yamamoto Yasutaka as general director and Makino Tomoe as director. Inori Minase will play Awanari Reina and Terashima Takuma as Raidou. The music group "Zutomayo" will perform the opening theme "Biunema". It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11 from April.
