On February 12, NHK announced that the educational variety show "Warui Ko Atsumare" (General, Tuesdays at 11pm), starring Goro Inagaki, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori, will end with program revisions in 2025.
"Warui Ko Atsumare" will be broadcast as a special program in 2021, with regular broadcasts starting in 2022. Calling people who are curious and seek to come into contact with diverse values "Warui Ko," the show features an omnibus format of planned segments that lead to opportunities for "learning." It has attracted attention as an educational variety show that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
The latter slot will feature "NHK's unlikely program (tentative title)," starring comedian Yasuko. The program is aimed at Gen Z and is based on projects that young people want to see and keywords that they are likely to be interested in. It is a new type of youth support variety show that aims to get the younger generation to watch NHK more.
