It has been announced that the second series of the TV anime "Science x Adventure Survival!", based on the popular educational manga series "Science Manga Survival" (published by Asahi Shimbun Publications), will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV from October. Visuals announcing the second series, featuring characters such as survival expert Geo, have been released. NHK Educational TV will rebroadcast the first series every Wednesday at 7pm from April.
The seven worlds that Geo and his friends will explore in the second series have also been revealed. They will be surviving water shortages, huge earthquakes, tidal flats, mountains, night safaris, the moon, and rising sea levels.
The "Science Manga Survival" series is a popular educational manga with a total circulation of approximately 14.5 million copies in Japan and approximately 35 million copies worldwide. A total of 89 volumes with 57 themes have been published in Japan. It explains science while depicting Geo and his friends facing difficult situations. The first animated film, "Human Body Survival!", was released in 2020, and the second, "Deep Sea Survival!", was released in 2021.
The first series of the TV anime will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV every Saturday at 6:25 pm from October 2024.
