The 15th episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm) titled "Casting" will be broadcast on February 12th. Shiro Sano will be making a guest appearance.
Ukyo (Yutaka Mizutani) was playing chess at a mountain lodge. He seems to have sneaked in on the pretext of getting lost. His chess partner and the owner of the lodge is a man named Tsuyoshi Okuda (Sano). Okuda is a family member of a victim of an unsolved murder of a mother and child that occurred in Tokyo 15 years ago. He himself had been suspected by the police in the past.
While playing chess with Okuda at a mountain lodge, Ukyo calmly explains the details of the case and the status of the investigation. He sends a message to Kaoru (Terawaki Yasufumi), who had remained in the city center, asking her to confirm Okuda's alibi. Kaoru, sensing that something is wrong, takes action.
Ukyo and Okuda, a strategist who even deceives Ukyo, enter into a fierce battle of wits that resembles a game of chess. Kaoru, fighting alone, finds himself in a desperate situation!
The subtitle "Castling" is a chess move. The screenplay is by Tomihiko Tokunaga and the director is Takumi Anyoji.
