The third episode of the drama series " Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? " (TBS, Friday 10pm) starring Suzu Hirose was broadcast on February 7th. The words spoken by Matsukaze, a lawyer played by Matsuyama Kenichi, to Kokoro Mugi (played by Hirose) became a hot topic on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Rito Asami. It is a suspense story about the intertwining of "love and destiny" between a parent and child caught up in a false accusation case.
Matsukaze is asked by Someda (Toshiya Sakai), the owner of a ramen stand, to make a curry with chikuwa for Kokoro Mugi. The curry with chikuwa was a memorable curry that Haruo Yamashita (Lily Franky) made for Kokoro Mugi after the death of Shizuka (Atsuko Sendo).
After eating Matsukaze's chikuwa curry, Kokoro Mugi declared, "No matter what anyone says, to me, the father who made the chikuwa curry that time is my father." "Matsukaze-san, please remember that. Please be a witness to what I say. I will no longer waver. I am who I am. I am Yamashita Haruo's daughter! I believe everything about my father and the letters he wrote, everything!" she declared with determination.
"I feel relieved to hear that," Matsukaze said. "I'll be by your side as long as you want me to. I'll believe in you, my father, and in the letter," he told Kokoromugi.
On social media, the comment became a hot topic, with comments such as, "'I'll be by your side as long as you want' is so cool," "The image of Kokoro Mugi and Matsukaze as a buddy duo is starting to emerge, and it's become all the more interesting!", "I'd like Matsuken to tell me, "I'll be by your side as long as you want me to! That'd be nice," and "I'll be by your side as long as you want me to. Wow, so cool..."
