It has been revealed that voice actors Mamoru Miyano , Takanori Iwata, Kaori Mizumori, Avant Gardie, and KOMOREBI will appear in the film " Ya Boy Kongming! THE MOVIE" (directed by Shuhei Shibue, scheduled for release on April 25th), starring actor Osamu Mukai .
Miyano will appear as Mamo, the MC who hosts the music battle festival "Music Battle Awards 2025" in the play. He will liven up the festival venue with his skillful talk and beautiful voice. Iwata, Mizumori, Avant Gardie, and KOMOREBI will appear as themselves.
Miyano commented, "I asked to play 'MC Mamo' myself, and they accepted (laughs), but I never thought I'd get an offer like this, so I was very surprised!" He continued, "I'll be honest, as a voice actor, Miyano isn't involved in the anime, so this will be my first time playing ' Ya Boy Kongming!,' but I will be appearing in an important scene in this movie."
He continued, "This shoot was done in the form of an actual 'live performance with the audience in attendance' so the sense of realism and energy is incredible! I was really fired up to do it. I ended up playing a bit of an eccentric character, but I hope everyone enjoys it!"
This work is based on a popular comic that has been serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) and has a total circulation of over 2.4 million copies. The genius military strategist Zhuge Liang (Mukai) from the Three Kingdoms period is somehow reincarnated in his younger form in modern-day Shibuya, where he becomes the military strategist of aspiring amateur singer Tsukimi Eiko (Kamishiraishi Moka), and leads her to success by overcoming obstacles with clever schemes.
