The illustrations for the box and inner jacket of the Blu-ray Disc (BD) box " Dancouga:Super Beast Machine God 40th anniversary Blu-ray Box," commemorating the 40th anniversary of the TV anime " Dancouga:Super Beast Machine God " that was broadcast in 1985, have been revealed all at once. The illustrations are designed by Masami Ohbari, Kazuko Tadano, Takahiro Yamada, and Hirotoshi Sano.
The story is about Shinobu Fujiwara, a trainee at the Space Military Academy, who is assigned to the special armored unit, the Beast Fighter Unit, and pilots the Beast Fighter Machine, a mecha that contains the power of a wild beast, to fight against the invading Muge Zorvados Empire. It aired from April to December 1985.
The Blu-ray box set includes all 38 episodes of the TV series, as well as the OVA (Original Video Animation) "Requiem for the Lost," the OVA "GOD BLESS DANCOUGA," the OVA "Incandescent Final Chapter," and the video clip collection OVA "Juusenkitai SONGS." The enclosed bonus booklet features interviews with the cast and original staff of Juusenkitai. It aims to be the definitive edition that covers the 40th anniversary history. Priced at 44,000 yen.
