It has been announced that all episodes of Shiho Takase's popular manga "Nigatsu no Shosha (The Winner of February-An Absolutely Qualified Classroom)", which depicts junior high school entrance exams in a realistic way, will be made available for free on Shogakukan's web service "Bikkomi" from February 1st to 16th. The free release will coincide with February 1st, the day when the actual junior high school entrance exams in the Tokyo metropolitan area will take place.
Author Takase commented, "I wrote 'Winners of February' so that it would be an enjoyable manga to read for people who are involved in exams and those who aren't. In particular, the final episode is packed with a lot of emotion. I would like to send my best wishes to all the exam takers and their families! I wish you all the best."
To commemorate the free release of all episodes, a campaign will be held to give five people an original QUO card worth 500 yen and autographed by Takase.
The work is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan) from December 2017 to May 2024. It depicts Kuroki Kurodo, the "strongest and worst guaranteed passing lecturer" who appeared in the world of junior high school entrance exams, guiding children taking the junior high school entrance exam to success while tackling various problems in modern society. It was also made into a live-action drama starring actor Yagira Yuya in 2021, which became a hot topic.
