The second episode of the Monday 9pm drama " 119 Emergency Call " (Fuji TV, Monday 9pm) starring actress Nana Seino was broadcast on January 20th. Mikami Ai, who plays the role of the command and control officer Sara Niijima, has been attracting attention on social media.
The drama is an original story set in a fire department's communications command center, depicting the real-life daily lives of command and control officers.
Mikami-san gained attention for her role as Empress Dowager Akiko in the NHK historical drama " To Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e)". In "119 Emergency Call", she plays a command and control officer who is always calm and collected over the phone.
Outside of work, Niijima has a tendency to avoid interacting with others more than necessary. In the preview video for the third episode, which will air on January 27th, Niijima is shown saying "Leave me alone!" in response to Kasuhara Yuki (played by Kiyono) expressing concern for him, and asking in English on the phone, "Maybe someone hit you?"
