The 77th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " starring Kanna Hashimoto was broadcast on January 21st, and viewers were drawn to the opening credits.
Yui (Hashimoto), who returned from maternity leave, began preparing for the national exam to become a registered dietitian. During the day, she worked in the cafeteria of Seika Electric Co., Ltd., and at home, she studied hard while helping with childcare with her husband, Shoya (Sano Hayato).
In the 76th episode (broadcast on January 20th), Lily Franky narrated, "Yui will focus on raising her child and her studies, and from here on out, let's take a look at the journey of the Yoneda family in Kobe," before going on to side stories about the people around Yui, including Ayumu ( Riisa Naka) and Ruly (Miricham).
In the 77th episode, scenes of the secondhand clothing store "Girlies" run by Chanmika (Matsui Rena) and scenes of the people of Sakura-dori Shopping Street are alternated, and Yui only appears in the opening flashback scene. Regarding the 16th week currently airing and the 17th week to be broadcast from January 27th, production supervisors Takashi Usagawa and Hitoshi Manabe explained, "The two-week series of ' Omusubi' from January 20th is a story of Kobe after the Great East Japan Earthquake, depicting the struggles and search for the future faced by the people of Kobe's Sakura-dori Shopping Street, including Yui's sister Ayumu and shoemaker Takao (Naoto Ogata)." They commented, "We want to carefully portray not only the pain and difficulties brought about by the earthquake, but also the hope and bonds that lie beyond."
