Yagi expressed her joy at being reunited with Katori, saying, "It was my goal to work with Katori again, so when I heard from him, I thought it was a dream. I felt a sense of urgency, but I was also incredibly happy to be able to act with him again. I wondered if I'd be nervous since it's been a while since we last worked together, but he talked to me on set just like he did in the old days, and every shoot is so much fun."
She continued, "My role is a new teacher who is troubled by the gap between the nursery school's rules and her own capacity. There are many scenes set at the nursery school, and there are lots of children on set, so it's very lively and I get a lot of energy from it. I've played the role of a student, so to think that now I've finally been able to play the role of a teacher...it's quite moving."
The appearances of Sayaka Yamaguchi and Ruka Matsuda were also announced. Yamaguchi will play Noriko Tatematsu, the vice president of the PTA at Oedo Daiichi Elementary School, where Himari (Risa Masuda) attends, and Matsuda will play Natsumi Tanba, a teacher at Oedo Daiichi Elementary School.
The drama tells the story of a TV reporter who is involved in a scandal and finds his life on the brink, but who begins to wish to create a better society through raising his children, and decides to run for election in order to change Japan.
