Actress Akari Takaishi appeared at her management agency Avex Management Agency's annual formal attire unveiling event held at Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaka (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on January 10th.
Takaishi is also in the spotlight for being selected from 2,892 candidates in an audition to play the heroine Matsuno Toki in the NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake" in the second half of fiscal 2025. When asked by a reporter, "You have a busy schedule ahead of you," she said, "I'm thinking of giving myself lots of rewards. I'll reward myself once every four days. I said four days on a whim, but four means happiness (laughs). Food makes me happy, so I'd like to accumulate little joys like convenience store sweets."
Takaishi wrote "flower" on the ema, explaining, "At the photo shoot exactly one year ago, I wrote 'bud' (sprout) to represent the seeds planted in the year that would sprout, and I hope that this year those buds will blossom." She continued, "I think that working on the role or production in front of me is the first step to making a big flower bloom. I want to keep working hard without changing the way I approach acting."
This was the company's fourth formal wear unveiling event. It was the first held at Akagi Shrine, where Akagihime-no-mikoto, who is said to grant the wishes of women who come to worship, is enshrined. Also in attendance at the formal wear unveiling were Yuno Ohara, Uesaka Juri, Taira Minori, Kanon, Fukuyama Kensui, Furuta Airi, and Matsuo Sonoma.
