The first episode of the TV drama series "Zaibatsu Fukushu: To My Ex-Wife Who Became My Brother's Wife" (TV Tokyo, Mondays 11:06pm), starring actors Keisuke Watanabe and Miori Takimoto, was broadcast on January 6th. At the end of the episode, a conversation was depicted between Yukiya Ise (Watanabe), who was adopted as the second son of the Ise zaibatsu, and his wife Erika (Takimoto), and Erika's sudden change of attitude in the conversation caused a stir on social media.

In the first episode, Yukiya, who was adopted as the second son of the Ise zaibatsu, has been bullied by his family for being the child of a mistress. In order to get revenge on the Ise family who drove his mother to death and ruined his life, he works as a white hat hacker and gathers evidence of numerous illegal transactions. He was supposed to get his revenge by exposing the disgrace of the family to the world and live happily with his beloved wife Erika, but Erika suddenly tells him that she is pregnant with the child of Ise Masayuki (Kohei Takeda), the eldest son of the Ise zaibatsu.

In the story, Erika, who had been acting friendly with Yukiya up until that point, suddenly confesses her betrayal to Yukiya, saying, "I'm... pregnant. With Masayuki's child," with a smile. She adds, "I know it's wrong. But I'm sorry. This was the only way for me to be happy... I'm really a terrible person," and urges the confused Yukiya, "Please divorce me."

Then, as she removed her wedding ring, she revealed that she had deleted all of the evidence of wrongdoing that Yukiya had collected, and taunted him, saying, "There's no way you could destroy the Ise family. My Ise family." and "Just shut up and disappear! For the sake of my happy life."

Social media was abuzz over Erika's sudden transformation. Comments included "So scary," "I got goosebumps," "This is hell," "It was beyond disgusting," "I felt sick for the whole hour," and "Erika's smile was so scary."
